Good Companions

Founded in September 1969, the Wortham Good Companions club has gone from strength to strength. We currently have just short of 40 members and enjoy fortnightly meetings in the village hall.

We give our members several outings throughout the year and this year we have enjoyed trips to Lincoln, London, Clacton and the End of Pier Theatre at Cromer.

On top of this, we have an annual Christmas dinner, which is free to all members. At our meetings, we play cards or bingo, chat and have two guest speakers a year.

Our group survives from fund raising events such as our annual garden party, jumble sales, coffee mornings, prize bingo evenings, harvest sale and other occasions throughout the year.

Everyone is welcome to these events and posters with the dates will be found around the village and advertised in the parish magazine and in the Wortham & Burgate column in the Diss Express.

We would warmly welcome any new members to our group.
